Dear Chris,
How have you been? It’s been a while since we last talked due to you being swamped with work! Finally, you’re getting away on holiday and to West Australia, that must be a relief considering the long hours you’ve been putting in.
We once travelled down to the small seaside town, Margarette River, which is a 3 hours drive south from the airport. The town was vey accomodating for families and we found the stay helped unwind the stress in our lives. In paticular, we rented accomodation on Seashell street which is ocean facing. Sunsets over the sea were simply magical.
Not far from the town center, there are numerous wineries. You can book transport with the local taxi company to shuttle the family around for the day while everyone can enjoy the delicious whites and red on offer. Other than having a few drinks, the town regulary hosts surf competitions so be sure to ask when the next one is held and check out the home grown talent battling the waves. After all the excitement, you must dine at the local pub on Smith street. All the food is made with fresh ingredients and even features catch of the day, whatever fish that is caught earlier that morning!
I hope this information helps and have a splendid time.
Take care,
Ray
