The illustration depicts how the aluminum cans are recycled through multiple-step process.
The 6-step process starts with collecting the previously used cans from bins that are thrown by people and ends with reusing them again. This is achieved by long process including turning the aluminum cans into raw materials, that can be used to be recycled in order to make cans eligible for using again.
The process of recycling begins with, the can are collected by bin lorries from the bins, then they go through various processes, firstly they are cleaned from any impurities, secondly, they are well sorted by machines, and the last step before changing its solid state, is getting shredded and compressed before heating them and melting them down into liquid aluminum.
At step four, the liquid aluminum is then reshaped to form a roll that is 2.5mm – 6mm thick, and then moving them into the last step to be fully recycled, in order to manufacture cans that are 74% recycled and can be used by the public.
