Overall, the peak of visitors were in 2012, while lowest number of visitors in 2009. However there are changes in the numbers with each passing year.

Victoria and Albert museum was the most visited in year 2007 and 2008 with nearly 14 million visitors each year. In 2009 number of visitors were declined on around less than 10 million and even dropped more in 2010. Meanwhile in 2011 number of visitors increased. And in 2012 visitors were nearly around 10 million.

National Gallery has less number of visitors around 6 million in 2007 as compared to other two museums. But it kept on showing a massive growth with each passing year. In 2008 more visitors than British Museum showed up. In 2009 the visitors of visitors were slightly close to the visitors of Victoria and Ablert Museum. While in 2010 National Gallery was the most visited place among all three with whopping number of visitors which were around 11 million. Whereas in 2012 more than 15 million people visited National Gallery which was the highest since 2007.

British Museum had more than 11 million visitors in 2007. However number of visitors in 2008 and 2009 dropped nearly around 5 million each year. Meanwhile a growth was seen in 2010 but in 2011 more than 10 million people were entertained there which was the highest in the year as compared to other 2 museum. In 2012 British Museum had around 14 million visitors which makes it the second most visited place in the year.
