The graph illustrates the industrial production of fuel generated from a well-known natural resource called Uranium.
Overall, it depicts a 6-stage cyclical process, beginning with the extraction of Uranium from deep layers of earth, to the end of the useful life of its fuel. After the final product has been used, it can continue two separate ways depending on its renewability.
Initially, it begins with the obtention of this natural resource by means of mine. Afterwards, U-235 fuel pellets are made the conversion and enrichment of uranium ore. This final product is the source for the production of electricity, which can latter be used for lightning.
Subsequently, after 4 years of uranium fuel utilization, the industry can make use of this spent resource depending on its capacity to be reprocessed. In that case, it can be considered as a renewable resource for the making of further energy. On the contrary, having stated that it is no longer useful, it is accumulated in metal containers for its afterwards collocation under earth.
