The graph compares the percentages of Australian workforce across five industries between 1962 and 2012. Overall, it can be seen that service industry dictates over others. Mining has the lowest percentages out of all industries.
Number of citizens who work in service started at just over 50 % in1962, then increased to slightly under 80 % by 2012. The second highest industry- manufacturing was at about 25 percent in 1962, figures fell to 10 % and equaled those in construction field in 2012.
Numbers in agriculture sector plateaued at around 10 percent, then declined to below 10 % after 1980, and continued to level up at below 10 % by 2012. Percentages of workforce in mining sector have not changed at all with just over zero.
Generally, it is clear that Australian workforce kept concentrated on service field. Manufacturing and agriculture sectors became even after all these years as people left manufacturing sector and caused a decrease in its percentages. The other two industries remained on the bottom of the graph with agriculture at approximately 5, and mining at slightly over zero.
