The process of growing and preparing pineapples and how to make it a product from pineapple is depicted in the diagram below. Overall, what stands out is that there are three steps of growing pineapples and processing of harvested products which are divided into three results; a beverage, a canned product, and an export.
Moving to the details, the farming of pineapples contains a natural element in which a 26 centimeter pineapple plant is left under the hot sun at a temperature of 23-30 degrees celsius until it grows larger. After 7 months, the plants are also given ethylene for 5 months until they produce a pineapple measuring 30 cm and weighing 2 kg.
The harvested pineapples will be cleaned and then differentiated based on their size. For the shortest size, it will go through the peeling and extraction process. The results of the extract will be put into a juice package. Meanwhile, medium-sized pineapples, after being peeled and cut into slices or smaller pieces, are both canned. In contrast, the largest pineapples have no need to peel, but only coated with wax and collected in a box before being sent to another country.
