The chart illustrate the percentage of three age group children who participate in four different activities in European country, over a year-period in 2009.
Overall, children between 5-8 years old accounted the largest percentage in watching TV. In addition, in 2009 the most popular activity was watching TV among children. Moreover, reading comics had the smallest gap between children.
With regard to watching TV and reading comics. these two activities reached 90% and approximately 60% for 5-8 years old group. After that, Watching TV was similar for 9-11 and 12-15 years group, accounting at 75% each. Meanwhile, Reading comics experienced the same situation, for other two age group the proportion of reading accounted almost 65% each.
As for the other two activities, playing video games for children 5-8 age group showed 58%, while for 9-11 age accounted 55%, and the smallest percentage demostrated 12-15 age group with 40%. Menawhile, ridying bikes was about 65% for 5-8 age group, while 55% for 9-11 years old and finaly, 80% for teenagers.
