Followed by Comedy, which had seen an increase from 20% to 25%. Thirdly, fantasy films increased from 12% to 16% and lastly, romance movies were the least popular choice for producers, at a stable 6% in both the years.
Comedy movies have owned the majority of ticket sales in both the years, at 20% and 23%, showing a modest increase. Drama was the second popular choice at 15% and 16% sales in tickets. Lastly, fantasy and romance movies are almost at the same level, with a gradual rise from 3% to 6% for fantasy movies and a sharp decrease from 5% to 2% in romance movie tickets, making it the least preferred genre.
In conclusion, though a higher number of drama movies were released, people preferred to go with Comedy movies. Fantasy was not highly sought after, while romance movies garnered the least attention.
