The given chart depicts the information about full and part-time employment among men and women in the UK around the years 1988 and 2012.

Overall, it is evident that in both years, full-time working men occupied around half the percentage of employment. However, both full-time and part-time working women had a similar share of numbers over the years.

As illustrated in the charts, full-time working men had a slight decrease in numbers in 2012. It seemed that part-time working women increased rapidly over the years. The percentage of men working part-time had almost constant proportion in 1988 and 2012.

The table clearly shows that with the rise in the total number of employees, only full-time working women had a significant rise in numbers—almost twice as in 1988. Coming over the years in 2012, part-time working men had thin increase with reduced number of full-time working men.
