The highest educational degree of King City population in percentages between the years 1950 and 2000 are presented in the chart.
Overall, we can see a rapid increase in percentage of people who have a college degree, and a steep decline in number of people whom highest education level was a high school. There is also a steady rise among people having a post-graduate degree, and a notable decline of residents who did not finished high school.
In 1950, only around a third of entirle population had a college degree. In the folowing years, however, we can see a sckyrocketting number people who now had a college diploma. The percentage rises steeply until 1990, when it stabilizes in around 65%. Meanwhile, students who had a high school as their highest degree decreased fast, from almost 45% in 1950 to approximately 10% in 1990, where it stayed. .
In the same period the numper of people without a high school diplomas steadily decreased from almost 17% to around 5%. Meanwhile, if in 1950 only around 9% of people completed their post-graduates, in the year 2000 the percentage was just above 20%.
