Overall, adult readers aged 18-64 made up the largest proportion of library members, whilst fiction books were the most frequently borrowed genre by both children and adults. Additionally, the total number of loans witnessed a steady upward trend over the nine-year period, with only a minor dip observed in 2013.
As for the pie chart, 51% of the members were between 18 and 64, making this age cohort the first rank. The figure was much/significantly higher than that of any other age bracket. Children represented the second-largest percentage of 22%. The remaining 27% comprised members aged 13-17 and those aged over 65, with the latter group making up the smallest proportion of 12%.
Regarding the distribution of loans by category, children’s fiction and adult fiction were equally popular, each taking up 38% of the total.
