Dear Sir or Madam,
I am an avid reader of your reputed newspaper. I particularly like the travel and cuisine coloumns which gets published every Tuesday. That being said, the reason I am writing this letter is to address an opinion published in the article of last week’s edition.
The writer claimed that every town centre of India are designed according to the respective culture of the province. The article also stated that all have the same features and are constructed in a similar pattern. I agree with the former notion that every town infuses the culture of the state it is situated in. Most respectfully, I beg to differ the latter idea that all the town centres resemble each other.
Being an avid traveller myself, I can confidently say that the architectural design of Jaipur is very different from that of other metro cities of India such as, Cochin, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and so on. For example, Jaipur city is often refered to as ‘ the pink city’ because the main centre has all of its administrative and shopping buildings painted in a light pinkish tone. This unique feature is absent in any of the other cities in India. Furthermore, the main town centre of Jaipur is famous for it’s large community park and shopping markets. While other Indian cities also have parks and shopping markets, the location, design and features are very different from that of Jaipur.
In conclusion, I would like to extend a warm invitation to the writer to kindly visit Jaipur soon. Please reach out to me when he visits, as I would love to show him around the town.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
Suha
