The chart below provides information about global population percentages and the distribution of wealth by region.
First and foremost, I believe there are significant differences in population percentages and global wealth distribution across various continents and countries, such as North America, the wealthy Asia-Pacific region, and Europe, which all exhibit high levels of global wealth. In contrast, countries like China, India, and those in Africa and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region have much lower wealth levels.
Secondly, in North America and the wealthy Asia-Pacific region, the ratio of global wealth to population is notably high, which starkly contrasts with several other countries. For instance, China has a population that constitutes nearly 25 percent of the global total yet holds less than 5 percent of global wealth. Similarly, both India and other Asia-Pacific regions have comparable population percentages, but their global wealth percentages are also below 5 percent. In addition, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean experience low percentages in both population and global wealth.
