The illustration demonstrates the process of chocolate production. Overall, there are 10 stages in this man-made process, beginning with the cacao trees growing and liquid chocolate being produced.
Firstly, ripe red pods need to be collected from the cacao trees, which are grown in South America, Africa, and Indonesia. White cocoa beans are removed from the harvested pods. The subsequent stage includes beans being fermented on three large leaves; then, these beans are spread in the sun to dry. After that, the beans are distributed into large sacks for convenient transportation.
When the large sacks are taken to the factory, they immediately go through a process of roasting at 350 degrees. Then, the beans are crushed to remove their outer shells. Next, the inner part of the beans is pressed in a pressing machine to manufacture liquid chocolate.
