The chart illustrate the electricity generated in Germany and France from all sources and renewables such as, nuclear, hydroelectric, wind, biomass, geo-thermal, conventional thermal, and solar these are the different types of energies used in the year 2009.
Overall, the Germany and France electricity generations in 2009 for both all types of sources and renewables used 560 billion kWh in germany, on the other hand the france used 510 billion kWh electricity. The differen between both of then was slightly varies.
Firstly, In Germany all types of sources were used and the large amount of usage was conventional thermal with 59.6%, while other sources was renewables with 17.4% and nuclear was 23.0%. However renewable sources were partially distirbuted among themself with 39.3% of biomass, and slight difference with percentage here comes the wind in 36.9%. And the leftover three are solar with 6.1%, hydroelericity with 17.7% and geo-thremal is 0.
Then the France electricity generation the nuclear type was the largest second largest generation while compared to others both in Germany and France. And the first largest electricity generation is hydroelectric with 80.5%. In France both geothermal and solar used 0% of electricity generation in the year 2009. Conventional thermal and wind electricity generators are on the same range of 10%. Lastly the renewables with 13.7% and biomass with 8.1%.
