The given chart illustrates how much waste disposed of in one Europen country, dividing into 3 methods ( landfill, burning, dumping at sea) between 2005 to 2008
Overall, it is clear that landfill method disposed the highest wast throughought the period, while dumping at sea method remained unchanged, not changing too much from 2005 to 2008. Also, burning method tended to increase million tones over day.
Regarding to landfill method, it reached the highst peak, making up 1800 million tonnes in 2005. However, after rising significantly, it tended to decreas gradually, accounting for 1200 million tonnes in 2006 and continue to fall sharply to 600 million tonnes at 2008.
Turning to burning and dumping at sea methods, burning method had a slightly change each years. Although it had the lowest rate over the period (500 million tonnes) in 2005, the amount of waste disposal increased gradually from 600 to 900 million tonnes in 2008. Furthermore, dumping at sea method had not big change by 3 years, it remained a stable change, the amout of waste disposal accounted around 600 million tonnes.
