The pie charts compare the results illustrating the popularity of several spare time activities among European adults in 1985 and 1995.
Overall, watching TV was the most preferred activity in both years, with thirty-two percent in 1985 and a slightly lower 30% proportion in 1995.
Interestingly, the most apparent change seen in 1995 was that computer games gained popularity. Playing computers was not observed in 1985, being 27 percent in 1995-the second highest overall. Furthermore, another activity rising was talking with friends, which increased from just above one-fifth to twenty-six in every one hundred.
By contrast, all the other activities plummeted in popularity. For instance, eating out accounted for 23 percent in 1985, whereas it experienced a mere 8 percent in 1995. Likewise, there was also talking with family, the popularity of which declined noticeably.
