Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for a volunteer role at your community centre with reference to the advertisement published in yesterday’s newspaper.

Regarding my interest, I would like to work as a volunteer to help elderly people with technology because I understand how challenging it is for old people to learn digital devices and also how crucial it is for them to avoid solitude.

As I am bachelor in computer science and also I have a two years of teaching experience in Podar school in the subject of information technology, I believe that I would be a suitable candidate to teach the basic technological skills to the elderly. Also, I am very calm and patient while explaining which is very essential for dealing with the senior residents.

With reference to the availibility, I am free from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday to Friday and from 8 to 10 in the mornings of Saturdays. I can be flexible if you wish.

Hope you will consider my application and will find me eligible for the mentioned position.
