Sub: Explanation for My Absence from the Professional Training Course
Dear Manager,
I am writing to explain why I was unable to attend the professional training course that the company arranged last week.
Unfortunately, I became ill the day before the course and my doctor advised me to take complete rest. As a result, I was unable to attend the training. I was disappointed because I understand that the course was important for improving my professional skills.
To make up for the knowledge I missed, I have already contacted one of my colleagues who attended the course. I have also requested the training materials and presentation slides so that I can study them in my own time. If possible, I would also like to attend the next available training session.
To ensure this does not happen again, I will inform you immediately if I face any unexpected situation in the future. I will also try to arrange an alternative plan whenever possible so that I do not miss important training opportunities.
