Dear Mr. Williams,

I am writing to seek permission to reduce my number of working hours from 40 hours per week to 32 hours per week for the next couple of months. In addition to my job, I want to enhance my skills in the AutoCAD 2D software and I have been selected for the part-time course, which is starting next Monday.

Also, the classes will be held in the morning batch, same as my current working hours. According to my schedule, I will be available to work in the evening shift and I would prefer to begin my work at 4 PM and finish at 10 PM.

By learning this course, not only I but also our organization would benefit as well. We can create layout drawings in a shorter period of time without much physical effort, also reducing the use of stationery. It will save the time we spend on each task and will leave us with plenty of time to complete the document work easily before the deadline.
