Dear Gurman,

I hope you are doing well.

I am very thankful to be invited to your wedding. First, I would like to congratulate you, and I am very happy for you but unfortunately due to some prior commitment I will not be able to attend the wedding.

On the same day, we have planned a family trip to Montreal for a concert, some of our family friends will be joining us for the same. We have already booked tickets for the concert and the hotel reservations as well, so it is not possible to cancel the plan.

However, I regret that as your best friend I will be missing out on such a special occasion for you, but we can certainly get together the following day and go out for drinks and spend some time and I will get a chance to know how the ceremony went.

Once again congratulations on the wedding, I eagerly await your response.

Kind regards,

Shubhpreet.
