Band 6+: Your local newspaper is offering an award for people who have helped the community. Write a letter to the newspaper editor. In your letter suggest someone you think should receive the award describe what the person does to help the community suggest an award that would be appropriate for this person You should write at least 150 words. Dr Sir,

I am writing to you, because yesterday I was reading the newspaper and I realized of the award that you wanted to give to someone who has helped the community. I thought immediately of my sister, she is a nurse and has been helping numerous people since she finish her study program. Last month, she vaccinated 30 women and 45 children for free. In addition, she saves 13 street dogs that were dying in the middle of the city. And if that were not enough, she also brings her help to old people that leave alone.

I belive that she is building an improved society and the the best award for her is to let her now that she is an amazing person, that contributes to the community because she is always taking care of the ones that are close to her. However, a few days ago she told me that she requires some medical equipment, I am hundred percent sure that something like that would make her extremely happy, since she doesn’t have enough money to pay for this equipment.
