Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you regarding your advertisement for recommendations of suitable nominees for the ‘Serving the Community’ award.

In this regard, I would like to nominate Mark Greesham, who lives in 34,Elm Lane, Rosewood.

Over the past year, Mark has been an active participant in keeping our neighbourhood clean. In addition to this, Mark has organized frequent gatherings so that residents of the community, especially the newer additions, get to know others and feel at home.

Mark has also championed the cause to paint the neighbourhood walls. Every Wednesday, he has volunteered in hosting a fun event for the residents of the old age home. This has helped in lifting up their spirits considerably.

I believe Mark could be presented with a ‘Community Champion’ trophy

and a token amount of cash, for example, 100$, that would help reward him for his efforts. This would also help in boosting the enthusiasm of the other residents to come forward to serving the community.
