Dear Madam,

I am writing this letter regarding your dog and its continuous barking throughout the night.

I am currently preparing for my fourth year M.B.B.S final exams. Becoming a good doctor is my ambition. For that to happen, I need to ensure that I clear these exams with distinguished grades and land a residency in the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Unfortunately, my recent study sessions have been disturbed due to your dog barking during the night. My final exam is scheduled for Monday next week, which is 5 days from now. Since our walls are adjoined, it becomes extremely hard for me to focus and achieve my daily objectives.

It is my humble request that you please put a muffle on your dog between 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This would allow me to concentrate for those three hours and it won’t be uncomfortable for your dog to be muffled for that short period either.
