These days there is a decline in reading books among youngsters compared to the children in the past. This generates seveeral problems including narro imagination,increased screen time and not having own opinion and I will suggest ways in which this issue could be resolved.
Firstly, children started to use mobile phones and there is an increase in screen time compare to the past. From day to day children are reading less instead,they are wanting to spend their time on social media platforms. That is what deters young people from reading.This could lead to increased screen time and this leads us to the second concern which is lower imagination. As children do not read,their problem-solving skills will decline. They may not know how to navigate the world,facing problems and tackling them would become a challenge for them. Lastly,if children do not read,their literacy skills will go down,leading to losing their own opinion. For example,if someone incite them,they may do things like vandalism,graffiti or even burglary.
However,there are some ways in which we might reverse this tend including making reading fun,limiting screen time and encouraging reading at home. Parents play an important role in encouraging their offspring to reading. Older adults should instill in children a love for reading and learning. This can be an important step in developing literacy and an appreciation for books . Additionally,instead of pushing infants to reading we can make it fun for a child. For instance,providing children with graphic,interactive books or comics that match their interests can help them see reading enjoyable. Furthermore,setting limits on the time spent on digital devices can encourage children to explore other forms of entertainment ,like reading.
In conclusion, by the time children are reading less compared to the past but if the above steps are taken,the situation will surely improve in the coming years.
