Band 6+: A big salary is much more important than job satisfication

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The debate over the question of whether people should choose careers they like or it is better to work in a well -paid job no matter how unappealing, it is. I completely disagree with this statement and think that job satisfaction plays an important role in the future prospects of humans.

First and foremost, I assert that working in an appealing job gives a person a sense of fulfillment that no one can guarantee. If people enjoy their working conditions, they never feel tired, and they are always energetic and motivated, even if they work extra hours in their workplaces. In other words, people feel happy doing what they are doing and take responsibility eagerly. For instance, most scientists made their inventions because they found their jobs not to pursue high salaries. That’s why, doing a job you enjoy leads to working with encouragement and interest.

Secondly, it is known that the best way to boost productivity of a field which we work is to perform a job passionately. If people do their jobs without any interest, they always feel nervous and tense, and this affects quality of job badly. A main example of this: teachers who work only for high payment, if they do not like teaching children influence their students adversely. Thereby, job satisfaction helps career growth and useful not only for staff but also for governments.

To conclude, instead of choosing a job by salary, if people prioritize job satisfaction, it makes them happy and motivated, improving their careers and success. Therefore, I believe that individuals should be employeed in the jobs they want is beneficial both them and society.
