A lot of workers nowdays prefer a remote work in comparison with being at the office. There are a number of pros and cons to such way of work for both – employees and employers. Let’s take a closer look at some of them.
Starting with advantages for employees. The biggest advantage is, obviously, wokring from the comfort of one’s home. There is no need to spend an additional money on transport and meals throughout the day. In addition, the pressure of the office enviroment is also eliminated, which might be crutual for a certan demographics. However, some people cannot focus on tasks at hand while they are at home. There are different reasons for it. For example, household chores such as cleaning and laundry could easily distract a person, because they are catching an eye therefore need to be dealt with.
As for the employers, on one hand the reducage of the office staff could potentialy cut the expences on maintainig the workplace clean or electricity bills. If there is no one in at the office there is no need to sustaine it. It leaves more budget on employees’ salary and overall development of the company. On the other hand, quality and production of the company could be damaged – the employer cannot see that their workers are indeed occupied with their tasks. Hence they unable to regulate the workforce and manage it to be more efficient.
The subject of working from home versus wokring from office has a lot of nuace to it and both sides are valid. Nevertheless, it is only for you to decide which of those would work for you if you’re an employee. Emploers shoud proceed from their budget and trust in their hired workers.
