Despite this contradiction , I believe that social and financial benifits will outweigh this drawbacks.
One of the main advantages of modern tourism is that the tourist trade is vital for some economies. It provides major income for many countries, creating thousands of jobs in hotels , and resturants. Also there is a plenty of people who are ready to go to the expense and spend their money on various attractions and souveniers, which is always good for the country.
On the other hand , tourism can have a negative effect on the natural envitonment if it is not properly controlled. The construction of hotels and other ficilities can seriously damage natural environment and destroy wildlife. Not only buildings but also the places with a considerable numbers of people like famous tourist destinations , especially the ones which placed in natural areas, could suffer from pollution and waste as well. Moreover, including the locals who are tent to increase the cost of everything, starting with grocery ending up with accomodation price, the cost of living for an average citizen can be impossibly expensive.
