Nowadays it is often argued that there is an increased inclination to ignoring old-fashioned values, such as honour, kindness and trust. Living in our modern society, i strongly believe that a person’s worth seems to be judged according to social status and material possessions.
To start with, moral principles are prone to changing as years pass by due to several factors. Having said this, our parent’s generation seems to having had a strong emphasis on behaving conventionally, whereas the new generation has lost the sense of seeing within one another.
To support this point of view, celebrities are the best example. For an instance,Chris Brown, a famous pop star posses a dedicated fan base despite of the involvement in violent acts and assault. Admirers often focus on the charisma, talent and media presence of celebrity rather than their personality.
Social status also plays an essential part on how we treat , bond with each other. The higher the social status the more privileged the individual is in all stages of life. In addition to,material possession is what draws most both attention and admiration.
All in all, old-fashioned values are part of the past, slightly connected to our modern, robotic life. To me, the old-fashioned values that once were the foundation of our society are worth fighting for so as not to lose humanity.
