Nowadays, water is important to our daily lives as both a consumable and an industrial supply. Which is why water is seen as vital to human life, like consuming, agriculture, and traveling by boat in the cities; therefore, it should be offered for free. In my opinion, I do not believe that water access should be free for everyone. This essay will explain the reason for this view.
From my point of view, there are various houses utilize water, by each household use differing amount of them. For example, a large house with a big family applies water for everyone compared to another home with a single person living alone that uses a little water. That is why we should provide based on the volume of water. Furthermore, it can disturb the local reservoir. In some areas, people use large quantities of water every year, while others use much less. As a result, the reservoir becomes unbalanced, which leads to issues such as overflow or water scarcity in some years. Additionally, when individuals use too much water, the government cannot pay for it. For instance, if a house is a laundry shop that uses water every day, it would be unreasonable for the authorities to pay for all the usage.
In conclusion, although water is essential for human life. From my perspective, it should not be provided free of charge to everyone. Charging for water based on usage can help prevent waste, ensure fair distribution, and reduce the financial burden on governments.
