There is a view that many jobs in a future will be replaced by artificial intelligence due to technological advancements. While AI offers a number of benefits, such as increase in productivity and faster perform in repetitixve tasks, the drawbacks, including job loss and income inequality, are far more greater.
One significant disadvantage of AI’s domination in job industry is job loss. Many companies around the globe are preferring AI-based machines instead of human workers, as their productivity level is better than that of human’s. Huge factories can be great example for this trend. Companies like Tesla and Space X are using their own AI, called Grok to produce their cars and rocket engines. Income inequality can be another drawback. Most of the people who works with AI are making more profit than people who work in harder physical jobs. As the result this creates income inequality.
However, the advantages of AI’s job replacement are far greater. One major benefit is that AI-driven machines are more productive and efficient, since they require less manual labor and less money. Chat bots in online markets are great example, as they do not force people to serve all day, instead it will call real assistant when it is needed. Moreover, AI-based machines perform repetitive and easy tasks faster and more productive. Self-checkout systems in supermarkets can be great example for this, as they make it faster and more efficient.
In conclusion, although AI may increase productivity level and perform tasks faster, job loss and income inequality makes it negative development overall. Therefore, the disadvantages clearly outweigh advantages.
