Nowadays, air pollution in urban area has become a major issue in our society. People start concerning about how to tackle this problem, and the downside of pollution e.g the effect for health.
Most of air pollution produced by factories, builded near residental area. Actually, factories near residental area are like double-headed sword. It could open a bunch of job opportunities for the locals, which is good in the middle of difficulty to get a job in this period. On the other hand, the existence of factories may leading to adverse health effects on residents. For example, people may have a problem with respirational issue that causes by air pollution, especially for a childrens who likes playing in an outdoor area.
Additionally, if we take a look at one of Southeast Asia countries, Indonesia mostly had a lots of factories and located in residental area. In order created wide open job oppertunities for the locals, the Indonesian government tend to sweep under the rug the negative effects that might happen in the future. Even though the Indonesian government provided health insuraces for those citizens who may be have a health problems, does not mean they could remained silent.
For tackle this issue, i think goverment should be wise and put much efforts about factory development policy. Government who has the authority, play an important role to make a good policy and regulations that can be implemented to address the problem. Also, it would be great if society involved in policy-making and supervision.
In conclusion, air pollution from factories may cause negative effects for health. Government should make better policy and regulations to tackle this issue.
