Nowadays, obesity is recognized as a global problem that impacts people’s ability to lead healthy lives in many different regions of the world. This essay seeks to examine the causes of the problem and provide some potential fixes.
People are probably less active than they were in the past, which is one of the primary reasons of the issue. The number of hours that individuals are active has been shown to sharply decline due to technology advancements. For instance, a lot of housewives now do their laundry in washing machines rather than by hand. Events like marathons and the launch of new fitness centers or sports teams may encourage more individuals to engage in physical activity, which can assist them avoid leading inactive lives.
Unhealthy and imbalanced diets appear to be a common problem among people. As opposed to/instead of prepared meals, people are ordering takeout more frequently. As instances, consider the threefold growth in the past ten years in the consumption of junk food items like pizza and hamburgers. The government is encouraging individuals to dine at home rather than dining out by raising taxes on fast food. People may therefore stay in shape and avoid gaining excess weight by consuming wholesome foods that are high in vitamins and nutrients.
In summary, if people do not adopt a healthy lifestyle and improve their physical activity, the number of overweight individuals will rise. It is my belief that the government bears primary responsibility for resolving this issue.
