Nowadays, most of the people moving towards cities, to fulfill their needs and gather opportunities. Let us discuss the reasons and consequences of living in urban areas, followed by my own recommendations as remidies for solving the same.
To begin with, there are various causes and reasons to live in the developed cities. First and foremost, in the world of modern globalisation, people are moving to developed cities to access well pain jobs. Since a bigger population need more goods and services and facilities which are only available in big and devout the cities. To illustrate, a survey conducted by National sample survey office, India disclose that more than 65% of population moving to urban areas because there are more job opportunities as per their qualification in big companies and industries which are only in cities.
Furthermore, city life including better infrastructure, transportation network, water, electricity, internet services and more advanced and more educational institutions and better health care facilities improving the overall well being of people. Two exemplify, for an article published in the Washington post of the USA by editor in chief minister Benjamin bradley in 2023 started that people living in cities have more benefits than people living in villages.
To the contrary, high population means more demand of facilities like food, water and energy putting pressure on the environment also increased use of vehicles result in the large amount of population and traffic issues, which make people late for the works. To give an example, a research carried out by the pollution control board of India reveals a shocking result that the larger population generating more waste which ends up in land field leading to learn pollution and methane gas is released which give bad impact on environment.
To conclude, urbanization has brought numerous benefits such as economic opportunities and improved infrastructure. It also brings challenges like poverty and effect environment badly.
