Band 6+: Around the world, rural people are moving to cities and urban areas, so populations in the countryside are decreasing. Is this a positive or negative development?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is argued that if it is a progressive or a regressive development, for the people around the world, to move into urban areas abandoning countryside, causing the population in those country side villages to decrease. In this essay, i will prove why it is considered as a negative development.

To begin with, Why are people leaving their home villages to accommodate in cities? Usually, many people migrate to cities to have a better life, which is not available in the countryside. There are many benefits that an indiviudal can experience by living in a city. For instance, the education system in the city is way more advanced and facilitated than the education systems in villages. Moreover, cities have well developed transportation system and more job opportunities for young people.Well, these are few of the reasons why poeple come to citie abounding their villages.

However, we can call it a proper development, because only a certain part of the country is developed well, while the people in other locations have nothing. When a country is developing, country should develop system by system. For instance, government should implement a proper transportation system where the whole country can access to. Like for the education as well, because it is a right of every child in the world to get a better education, not only for the children who are living the city, so there should by a proper education and same facilities for the children who are living in various part of the country.

To conclude, it is obvious, why people are abandoning country side to be in the city. Therefore, in my opinion it is a negative development, and developing the whole country according to a proper plan and a system can bring solutions to this problem.
