Art is a visual meditation. Nowadays, art is considered an important part of human life, and I strongly believe that more people should be encouraged to participate in artistic activities as a hobby. Art not only helps people relax and improves creativity and well-being, but it also plays an important role in preserving culture.
Firstly, art can reduce stress and improve mental health. According to statistics, artistic activities such as painting and drawing for 45 minutes can lower anxiety and significantly reduce cortisol which is the body’s primary stress hormone. For example, drawing or listening to music after a busy day allows people to relax their minds.
Secondly, art encourages imagination and artistic skills. People who practice art often become better at problem-solving and thinking in unique ways. These skills are useful not only for artists but also for students and workers in different fields. In addition, artistic hobbies can increase self-confidence because creating something beautiful gives people a sense of achievement.
Lastly, art can be cultural heritage. Every country has its own unique forms of art including, traditional music, dances and handmade crafts, which reflects its history and identity. For example, Mongolian throat singing and storytelling are passed down from older generations through practice and performance. Learning traditional skills such as wood crafting, clay work, or specific painting styles as a hobby helps protect our culture. Furthermore, through music, paintings, and performances, people can learn about the history and identity of different cultures.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that more people should take up art as a hobby because it reduces stress, develops valuable skills, and protects cultural heritage and promotes unity in society.
