In my perspective, one of parents’ most essential responsibilities is perhaps taking good care of their offspring. There is a debate about whether parents should spend their time on taking courses so that they will have more experience to take care of their kids. Undeniably, these classes bring enormous benefits;however, I do not agree that they should be compulsory.
On the one hand, moms and dads can receive a great deal from parenting classes. Firstly, such courses provide mothers and fathers with in – depth knowledge about how to raise a kid at different developmental stages. Parents who decide to attend those classes have more opportunities to teach their children more effectively and save time. Secondly, besides necessary data from breeding kids, parents will be instructed about medical situations and can deal with it immediately to have more chances to save their children. For instance, first aid training teaches parents what to do if their kids have a fever or a breathing issue.
On the other hand, despite such benefits of taking part in parenting courses or workshops, I believe that they should not be compulsory. There are still large families that don’t have enough economical conditions to attend those courses. However, they can take experience from lives, friends, even their parents to help their kids grow up with the best states. Moreover, others are busy with work and some have night shifts and the attendance in these classes can affect the effectiveness of receiving knowledge which can be learned in other ways.
In conclusion, in spite of some benefits that parenting classes offer, I am in favor that they should be optional rather than compulsory.
