As the world develops and new invantions come out, the options people have for goods and services simultaniously increases. Consequently, some people think this development is unnecessary and confusing; however, I believe it promotes competetion in a market place and a larger target to provide a specific product to people.
Having a wide range of choices have led people to be overwelmed, and sometimes it is completely useless. When companies provide multiple versions of the same product, it creates confusion among their customers. This can be seen as giving too many options because it is unnecessary. For instance, some phone brands offer too many colour variations, but buyers are more likely to buy black or white phones. This is more than what is needed due to the small number of customer’s response.
On the other hand, when people have lots of options, they are able to compare several providers of the service and goods they are looking for. As a result, competetion between the providers will rise significantly, leading to them providing better quality products to win over buyers. One example of this is the technology industry, where competetion of companies resulted in inovation and cost reduction for consumers.
In conclusion, while there are lots of options in today’s world, most of them are addressing people’s need and promoting free market. Therefore, I disagree with the statement that it is too many.
