In recent days, the population of certain counties consist of more number of young adults, compared with older people. This essay will argue why the benefits is far more that the disadvantages.

Individuals within the ages of 60 and above are considered to be the sit of wisdom in the society, and they are most importantly, the preservers of history. Having elderly ones around is an opportunity for younger ones to learn from their experiences are virtue. In addition, they have old time events in their hands, which can be very useful for documentaries and researches. For instance we were told about the existence of giants in Benin city in the 18 century by the elders of Benin kingdom, and it was documented in the history of Benin kingdom, and also we still hear about the 2 civil war that took place in the boundaries of Asaba and Onitsha in Nigeria. These great stories of a certain people cannot be rembered by the younger generation. Hence the presence of the older folks is vital.

Despite the value of the presence of the elderlies, the youths are the custordians of tomorrow. Their vigor and versatility cannot be over emphasized,and the majority of the work force of any nation has to be the young adults inorder to maintain productivity and economic growth. For example a person of 50 years will not be as productive as a young man in his early 20’s, neither will he have the strength required for a particular task. It is therefore impossible to sustain a society without the majority of the younths.

In conclusion, now a days, younths take up a relatively large number of the population in certain counties, compared to the number of the older individuals.with the acknowledgement of the ability of older folks to keep remarkable events of the past, and provide wise decision to any problem, it is crucial that the younths are available in large number because they are the ones to bring forth the mandate of the future and they have what it takes to elevate a country. Hence, having the population of youths far greater than that of the elderly has greater merits than its disadvantages.
