Some people claim that being involved in the arts makes them feel better. In my case, this is so, and I believe this is the general case.
It appears, that there are several reasons supporting the statement. For example, being immersed in arts activities is an interesting and enjoyable way to meet people and make new friends. We can learn about others lifestyles and history. Consequently, we might become more empathetic with them and thus get a deep understanding of the community where we live. This is invaluable for blossoming strong bonds and a sensitive community. In addition, art activities can improve health and body control. For instance, playing an instrument is beneficial for body coordination and memory while dancing enhances flexibility as well, which may prevent injuries. A healthy life is a happy one. What is more, being part of a band or a dance team, etc. fosters co-working, which is essential in order to reach individual goals.
As for me, I find happiness in the arts through music. I love, for example, listening to music. Once I get interested in a band, I usually investigate it deeply. In that sense, I watch analysis about albums or songs that I like. That is why I follow a classical composer who reacts to songs. I really have such a good time doing that. In addition, I’m part of a barbershop quartet, which consists of four people who gather to sing. The band consists of the bass (lowest notes), two baritones, and the tenor. I am the tenor, which means that I play the highest notes. We aim to form melodies. Therefore, each of us has a specific role within a song. This is very challenging indeed. However, I always have a great time singing with my friends. Sometimes, when I feel blue, it only takes a message to be ready to sing and make all those bad feelings fade away. I think that doing this serves me as a way to dissociate a little bit and recharge energy to face another day.
In summary, making arts is wonderful for several reasons. We see that it has a positive impact on society, and health, overall. In my case, it brings me enjoyment in diverse ways, sometimes because it can be very technical, and other times because I just meet my friends.
