Nowadays, plethora of students are moving overseas for education purpose. Althogh it comes with a lot of practical and psycological disadvantages, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. From my perspective, i will explain further.
To begin with, one moving abroad faces the first difficulty with costs like tution fees, accomodation fees, visa fees, insurance fees, shopping fees etc. One may find it difficult to pay all the expenses altogether as it’s their first time in that foreign country. In addition, the most commom problem is th cultural and traditional shock. For example, an Arab moving to Europe, may find it almost impossible to adjust to the culture of western society. Moreover, an students may struggle to communicate to people with different accents of peop[le living in that country. Critics asert that, one societies appreciation may be a slang of another. Most mentionable problem is the homesickness that the students face. Most students suffer with homesickness for food, hugs and warmth of their own home.
On the contrary, the advantages of studying abroad are profound. Students get to know the research facility, educational techniques, knowledges, diverse course options that are not available in the home country. In addition, people with a degree from abroad university are mostly valued in the home country than the home students. Moreover, people get high paying jobs, more prestigue and soft skills that shape their upcoming future.
In conclusion, although people often feels the heavy burden of moving to another country
cause of linguistic and cultural shock, it provides students with far reaching career opportunitues and profesional growh. Thus, the benefits are more fruitful than the challenges one has to endure in the foreign country.
