It is undeniable that the government has invested a great deal of efforts and money into transportation. However, it is not as much function as possible. For example, the government still allows some old public vehicles to operate in the street such as buses. Not only the old life cycle, but also the carbon foot print are released by this type of transportation. Because the old-fashioned machineries, resulting in air pollution become gradually worsen in this society. Therefore, it is worthy to distribute a large amount of governmental budget into transporation.
Apart from make an investment to this field, the price tickets when commuting by public transportation should be taken into account by the government if they want to enhance the air quality of citizens. The optimal way is to cut down on the costs of the tickets, so ordinary people could have an easier access to public transportation. The governmental intervention has an ability to encourage people to use the public tranports systems constantly. Leading to the reduction in using private vehicles such as bikes or cars on the streets, additionally, the mitigation of traffic congestion during peak hours. These two resutls are the prime reasons to make the environmental pollution severe.
