It is believed that online shopping is gaining more and more popularity. In my view, buying things on the Internet has equal pros and cons.
On one hand, online shopping is significantly convenient, easy, and quick, which is considered to be more advantageous these days when there is not much time for anything else. For instance, ordering clothes from online shops is quicker than going to shops, choosing clothes, probing, and trying them. Furthermore, buying books on the Internet has also become very common due to low prices, wider selection, convenience, and the ability to read reviews before purchasing. In addition, booking tickets online is incredibly comfortable because people do not have to stand in long queues, wait, and waste their times.
On the other hand, purchasing online is not as reliable as physical stores in certain aspects. For example, it is impossible to physically examine clothes or books and see in what condition they are. Moreover, there is a high possibility that the product may be mixed up with another or come in the wrong size, brand, or edition. Additionally, the commodity can be delivered in damaged shape, in low-quality, or be completely lost while transition. And, last but not least, it takes a huge amount of time for the goods to pack up and arrive.
In conclusion, although online shopping has benefits, such as convenience, wide selection, ease, and popularity, drawbacks should not be forgotten. They include the inability to physically check the thing, the possibility of low-quality condition, and the amount of time it takes to be delivered.
