Band 4+: Car ownership has rapidly increased over the past 30 years, leading to constant traffic jams in many cities. How true is this, and what measures can governments take to discourage car ownership?

At present, most developed countries have a major concerns about collisions due to cars. Similarly, In many countries, households have a more than 90% a four wheelers so it results to problems was happened by cars like accident, traffic congestions. This essay will elucidate the consequences of the car ownership and list out the solution to reduce the private car ownership.

Some developed countries maximum families owned cars but the countries not have proper infrastructures like roads were shorten and narrow so that accident occurred. Likewise, Today over half the population have private four wheelers because they risen there prestige and pride in the society. Then, most of the individuals not followed the traffic rules and regulation so it leads to vehicle crash. For instance, the WHO conducted one survey in different countries. Then, it suggests that 99% road accident caused by car due to increased in private car and also they were not obeying the traffic laws. In addition self driven cars stopped in the inappropriate way like they parked their vehicle in pedestrian so that it results to difficult for people. Therefore, these are major problem which happened by person car users.

At this modern generations, have a lots of solutions to control the car-ownership. First, bureaucracy will be introduce cost-efficient and also increase the public transits like buses , trains because it will foster the people to decrease the personal car usage. Similarly, public organizations, ought to launch the car-sharing scheme it will reduces the car utilizations. Furthermore, government should hiking the prices of fossil fuels like petroleum, diesel, and natural gas so that citizens withdraw their own cars. To cite an example, car-sharing schemes had been brought- forward to the Europe unions because of the car ownerships were dramatically increased and it made a heavy traffic in between the roads and tandem the private car produce more pollution to the environments so that car-sharing scheme is announced. Hence, these are the key solution to control the car-ownership

To conclude, countries wants to diminish the car- ownership the public authority foster and upgrade the infrastructures of the public transports. Moreover, introduced the vehicle sharing program to reduce the usage . Then, increase prices for fuels so that individuals are becoming less interest to use the cars.
