There is a widely spread opinion that in addition to children’s native language, it is extremely important to have a good command of speaking another world language. I completely agree with this statement, for me the knowledge of foreign languages is a powerful tool in terms of future career and communication.
Knowing one internationally recognizable language in addition to persons’ native one will help them to communicate with other people without any problems. Many companies require their employees to know at least two languages because in that way the company can expand its opportunities and have many branches around the world, which will lead to more profitable outcome of the business. Another benefit of having high level of a worldwide spoken language is that with that knowledge traveling process will be much easier, as a person will not have any problems with booking a hotel, orienting at the airport or even listening to a tour guide, if they want to visit some famous places of the country they are in. Also, many universities have scholarship programs in many different countries, which are often presented in a globally known language, for example English, thus, with the required level of English, a person can get into their desirable university and live their best life there, with a bright future ahead. One more advantage of knowing one universal language well is that numerous films and series are presented in English, and most often it is more interesting to watch them in the original way, so that the meaning of jokes or even games with words is not lost. If a child does not want to learn one more language but has a favorite cartoon, which has no translation into their native one, and is interested to know what the characters are saying, this can be an incentive to learn the language.
In conclusion, I think that knowing one universal language on the high level as well as the native one is important constituent of communication between all the world people, even though not everyone wants to learn more languages.
