Nowadays, some people believe that children do not respect their parents as much they did in the past, and this behaviour is having a negative impact on society. From my perspective, this issue arises due to reduced parental attention and increasing distractions caused by digital technology.
It is undeniable that parents has a crucial role in shaping their child behaviour. They should be pay close atttention to their child’s growth and development. However, many parents today are too focused on their work and neglect the importance of being actively involved in thier children’s lives. This lack of attention can lead to a failure in teaching core values, such as respecting older people. For example, some parents believe that school alone is responsible for teaching their child proper behaviour, when in fact, parents are the first and most importatnt teachers in a child’s life. Additionally, without regular communication and emotional connection at home, children may feel neglected and seek guidance from outside source, which may not always provide positif values.
Moreover, in today’s digital age, a growing number of people, including children, have access to digital devices. Many children relying on their smartphone, whether for play the games or even scrolling through social media. This behaviour can have a negative impact not only on their personal development but also on society as a whole. For instance, children who spend too much time on social media may be influenced by inappropriate content, follow bad role models, or develop disrespectful attitudes by copying negative online behaviour. As a result, they may become less interested in real-life interactions, including showing respect to their parents or elders, which weakens social values within the community.
In summary, parents play’s a crucial role in shaping child’s behaviour and must be aware that theyserve as role models. Moreover, excessive use of digital devices can negatively effect children’s personal development. Therefore, it is important for parents to reduce their children’s screen time and guide the,m with attention and discipline. By doing so, children can learn how to respect older people adn develop positive values that benefit both their lives and society as a hole.
