These days, the government in many countries pay some or all of the course fees for students at every stage of education. In my perspective, the advantages of free education outweigh any disadvantages.
First of all, if a government can cover all money for education costs, children from each financial background can have an equal opportunity to access education. In many families, parents don’t have a condition to pay their children’s education fees. Paying education costs for students can decrease a burden for their parents and they can pursue their schooling without being worried about the costs. Furthermore, education is the foundation of a country’s growth. Children are determined to be the future of the country. If children don’t have knowledge and education background, it will have an impact on the economy of the country in the future. The more people are well educated, the more they will be able to speed up economic growth and development in society.
On the other hand, it is true that there are some drawbacks. There is a pressure on the national budget. Citizens have to pay more taxes every year so that the government can have extra money to cover children’s education. Moreover, some parents don’t appreciate having free schooling. They think that their children don’t need to go to school and just find a job to make a living.
In conclusion, the benefit of free education can be more advantageous to low-income families and development of the whole country.
