It is a commonly held belief that children should obey their parents’ instructure. This essay attempts to prove the reasons why I strongly agree with this statement.
It is argued that children should always listen to their parents’ advice. The underlying reason is that parents possess a wealth of experience and knowledge that enable them to give valuable advice to their children, help them navigate complex situations and assist them in avoiding common pitfalls. For instance, parents might offer multi perspective insights on making educational and career choices, managing personal finances, or understanding social dynamics. I find this argument convincing because children are young and have limited life skills, leading to careless and inconsiderate decisions. Therefore, parents’ suggestions can compensate for children’s limitations and expand their vision of the world.
From my perspective, although the role of parent guidance is crucial for a child’s development, it is essential for children to develop their own decision-making abilities.
