Band 5+: Children who are brought up in families that do not have large amount of money are better prepared to deal with the problems of adult life than children brought up by wealthy parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant example from your own knowledge or experience.

I agree with the statement that children from wealthy families are less capable of handling adult life problems than children from average families. There are several reasons behind this. I am showcasing the reasons with examples below.

Firstly, one of the main reasons is that children who come from a rich family background can get easily all the necessary things while if they belong to a poor family then they do not get the things easily. They have to compromise. Secondly, if anyone comes from a middle-class family then he/she has to struggle a lot so that they can learn so many things from their experience. In the meantime, rich kids do not need to struggle at all so they cannot manage any situation properly. In addition, wealthy families give their children too much luxurious lifestyle, and for that reason, they cannot deal with the problems properly meanwhile, most children from opposite backgrounds achieve most of their needful things on their own as their families can’t bear the expanses.

For example, we are 3 friends. One of them is from a wealthy family and the other is from a middle-class background. The friend belongs to a rich family and has all kinds of facilities but if any day some little things happen, she cannot handle that properly. On the other hand, a friend from a middle-class background simultaneously handles both study and part-time jobs while a rich friend can’t handle only studies properly though she has enough facilities.

So, those are some reasons why I can say that rich kids are more capable of dealing with life problems than kids from high-profiled families.
