Absorbing historical information is one of the most valuable for every people. Some people believe that learning history from films and video records is better to learn than documents, while others take a different view. I firmly agree with the idea that watching video is one of the simple way to learn the way people lived in the past. In this essay, I will discuss the both sides and explain the key reasons behind my opinion.
There are several reasons why many people support the idea that absorbing historical people through films and video records. When people watch the video about the way people lived in the past, they can imagine the situations more clear than written documents. This is because imagination is one of the most crucial thing to learn new information. That’s why people can absorb the historical information quickly and efficiently. Moreover, watching video do not require a special place to watch the video. People can watching historical video in metro, bus or street if they want, so it save more time and effort compared to reading the written documents.
On the other hand, not everyone agrees with the idea that watching films and video records can be efficient way to learn the lives of people lived in the past. They argue that recorded videos may not be more reliable than written documents because producers can add the situation, which have never happened in the past. So people can confuse easily, when they read written documents. In addition, individuals can find the difficult with remembering the information which absorbed through films and video records. This is because absorbing information through recorded video can be unstable and easily to forget after a few days. That’s why learners prefer to read the information than watching video.
